Water Dispensers
Snomaster has a range of water dispensers for home, offices or gym's.
Choosing a water cooler
There are a few decisions when choosing a water cooler / dispenser for your home or office.
- Is my tap water safe to drink?
- Do I need to filter the water
- Should I buy bottled water or a filter bottle to filter my tap water.
Why not tap water?
Today most water is treated with chlorine as it is a very effective way to disinfect and remove microorganisms. However in the 1970s scientists discovered that when chlorine is added to water, it forms Trihalomethanes (THMs). Chlorine and THMS have been linked to various types of cancer, kidney and liver damage, immune system dysfunction, disorders of the nervous system, hardening of the arteries, and birth defects.
Filtered or bottled?
If Filtered water is preferred, then you can decide on “ready bottled” water or using a filter bottle. Buying bottler water can be more convenient but it’s more costly in the long term. Filtered bottles save cost but they need to be maintained and generally the filters replaced every 3 to 4 months.
